I have made improvements on the battle animation for each character. Each character now has 3 attack animations for added variety (though I'm currently not done with the 4th character yet. Scythe animation is hard -_-;). I've added more frames to the character too. Here is the comparison of the number of battle sprites in the first game:

I have been coding so much this past week. I finally finished the weapon database and got special weapons to work. There are a lot of weapons on the game now and they are not just stats anymore. Here are some examples:
- A weapon that gives a random buff per turn
- A weapon that improves the guard skill and counter attacks when attacked
- A weapon that deals extra damage when hp is low
... and more.
I haven't been doing much art, so I guess here are more screens from the cutscene. :)

For the past week, I've been trying to figure out how to do an intro cutscene. I think I'm going to have a short animated (not too much) intro. I'm thinking it should be longer and should have more pictures than the first one. Here are some of the pictures I did for it.

The first Crystal Story only had one dungeon to explore. I'm trying to add new and different areas to the second one. Here are some of the outside areas I have finished. I still have a long way to go.
School started again, so progress will be a lot slower. I'm still working on the game on my free time though. I'm hoping to finish this game by this year.

I'll start with the battle system.
There is now a turn bar added to the left side of the screen. The character icon that reaches the top of the bar indicates it's their turn. If a skill is selected, the bar will also show how further the character will be set back when the skill is used.
I also changed the battle layout to side view. The battle system can now fit 6 small enemies without hitboxes overlapping each other.
The battle background still needs to be improved.

Hey guys!
I just want to let you know Crystal Story II is in the works. It still has a long way to go, so I figured I might as well post my progress on it.
I have read a lot of feedback, and I have implemented some of the most requested ones. The game will have a turn counter and autosave. Skills like escape and run are also in the game. Random chests are gone and they are now predetermined. The game will now have an open world to explore and tons of optional side quest. You are no longer limited to one dungeon. The game will also feature an all new playable cast.
These are not the only changes being implemented in the game. I will be updating my progress as I go in the upcoming weeks.

Hey!

I just want to see if everything works correctly. Even saves.
Some notes:
- To full screen the game, press the game area until you see a box appear in the top left corner of the screen. Click the box to toggle fullscreen.
- Clearing cookies and cache of the browser will delete the save data.
